When you're in the heat of the moment, time is of the essence. Don't mess around with scrolling and clicking. Get where you're going fast.
So you're in Digital Performer, doing that music thing that you do. You put in a verse. Oh wait, it should be a double verse in the beginning. Then a chorus. Damn, that chorus is good, let's loop it at the end. Add in the bridge, solo, pre-choruses and the part where the Gospel choir comes in and suddenly your track is ten miles long.
This is the part where it becomes a pain in the butt to move around from measure to measure.
But, did you know you can easily navigate your track without ever touching the mouse? Not only that, you can always put yourself on the first tick of the first beat of any measure just by hitting a button or two.
